Terms of Service

TextPipe — SMS forwarding for Android

1. Acceptance

By installing or using TextPipe ("the App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Service Description

TextPipe forwards incoming SMS messages from your Android device to a Telegram chat through TextPipe's hosted Cloudflare Worker. You pair a device with the TextPipe Telegram bot and enter the pairing PIN it sends you. Hosted forwarding requires an active internet connection and an active subscription.

3. Hosted Subscription

Hosted Telegram forwarding costs USD 1 per month, billed through Stripe. One active subscription covers up to two active paired devices; a dual-SIM phone counts as one device. The subscription renews automatically until canceled through Stripe's Customer Portal. Forwarding access may be paused after a failed payment or once cancellation takes effect. Stripe processes payment details; we do not receive or store full card numbers. Refunds are handled according to Stripe's policies and applicable law.

4. Not Currently Offered

Self-hosted/direct Telegram delivery (running your own Worker and bot) and email forwarding are not available in this release and must not be relied on as available services. If either is offered later, these Terms will be updated first.

5. Your Responsibilities

  • You must have lawful authority to receive and forward messages on the device.
  • You are responsible for complying with applicable privacy, telecommunications, employment, and data-protection laws.
  • You are responsible for securing the device and your TextPipe account credentials.
  • You must not use TextPipe for spam, fraud, harassment, unauthorized surveillance, or other unlawful activity.

6. Service Availability

The App depends on Android, your phone and carrier, internet connectivity, Cloudflare, and the Telegram Bot API. Delivery may be delayed, duplicated, or lost. The service may change or stop without notice.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to hosted forwarding if we determine, at our sole discretion, that you are using the service for spam, fraud, or unlawful purposes, abusing the infrastructure, or violating these Terms.

8. Security

SMS messages can contain sensitive information. Telegram recipients may retain or forward messages after delivery. You are responsible for selecting an appropriate destination and protecting access to it.

9. Limitation of Liability

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TEXTPIPE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING MISSED, DELAYED, DUPLICATED, OR DISCLOSED MESSAGES. Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the hosted service during the preceding twelve months (or $0 if you have not paid).

10. Intellectual Property

The App, website, design, and branding are the property of TextPipe or their respective licensors. Open-source components remain subject to their own licenses.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms and will change the effective date above. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Malaysia, subject to applicable consumer-protection law.
